Why I Started Merci Healthcare
Merci Healthcare was created from a place of purpose and personal experience. As a nursing student, I completed my clinical rotation at Johns Hopkins, where I had the privilege of caring for both children and older adults — including patients in the cancer unit. Those moments changed me.
I witnessed the strength of families, the vulnerability of illness, and the incredible impact that compassionate care can have on someone’s healing and emotional well‑being. Holding a child’s hand during treatment, comforting an elderly patient through pain, and supporting families during difficult moments taught me something powerful:
